One of the highlights of December for Wyatt and me was Breakfast with Santa! Santa made a special stop at Ally and Davids just a few days before Christmas! Wyatt may have not been to sure about Santa, but most of the kids were SO excited! Here are a few pictures of the awesome day!

Christmas at the Ranch
After leaving the Saxe Family Christmas celebration, Wyatt, Kevin and I packed up the car and headed down to the ranch. The ranch is one of the most special places in the whole world to me. All of my favorite holiday memories growing up are there, and I hope Wyatt someday feels the same way. EVERYONE came in to celebrate Christmas together, and Haley and I volunteered ourselves to cook the huge Christmas meal. I have never attempted to cook for that many people, but the food was great, and we had so so much fun. I hope we can carry this new tradition on for a long time!
These are really the only pictures we took while we were down there! So pathetic! Patrick surprised Kortnee with a puppy for Christmas, Jase. It is going to be so fun to watch Wyatt and Jase grow up together. Wyatt wasn't quit sure how he felt about all of Jase's licking, but it was so so cute to watch them stare at one another.
Christmas with Saxes
Our Christmas celebration this year lasted almost a whole week, but you will not hear me complain about that! I LOVE Christmas time...like really really love it! Since it was Wyatt's first Christmas, we really wanted to see our WHOLE family, which meant we did a lot of traveling and a lot of moving around! First up, the whole Saxe clan got together on the 21st to have early Christmas. We had a blast! Nothing beats wake up on Christmas with little ones around! Micah and Laurel's excitement was infections. I can not wait to see that joy on Wyatt's face!
Wyatt was beyond spoiled by his Mimi and Bubba, and his awesome aunts and uncles!

We are SO blessed to all live close and get to spend holidays together. I look forward to many many many years of loud, big, crazy, exciting Christmas!
Connor and Alex, as well as all the kiddos had to wait at the top of the stairs until it was time to open gifts! (Saxe family tradition)

After all the kids went down for a nap, the rest of us got to sit down and eat our second huge meal of the day. It couldn't have been a more perfect celebrations!

Big Steps
I put Wyatt down for the night in his crib for the very first time tonight. This was a huge step for me. I am strangely emotional about this. I feel like he is growing up so fast and it just makes me sad. He has been in a bassinet next to our bed since we brought him home from the hospital, and I have loved having him right next to me. I know that it wasn't the best habit in the world to start, but it was just so easy! With me breastfeeding, I could just roll over and get him, nurse him and put him right back down so fast! But after being gone for the last week for Christmas, I figured now was the best time to cut our ties with the bassinet. I pray that he continues to sleep like a champ, and that I get some sleep and don't spend the whole night staring at at the monitor!
3 Months
Happy 3 months Wyatt! He is growing up so fast! I don't know where the time is going! Wyatt is such a happy and easy baby. He is a great eater, and such a good sleeper! I am still breastfeeding, and I feel beyond blessed that it has been such a great experience for us. Wyatt is very laid back most of the time, but he lets ya know when he is getting a little bored or is hungry. He likes to be moving all of the time! No sitting still for this guys, I am pretty sure he gets that from his Daddy :). He has recently started talking to us a lot! He is a very camera shy little man though. Every time I try to get those sweet little smiles and babbles on camera, he stops and just looks at me!
We don't have another check up until January, but I had noticed a little rash on his elbows, scalp, and knees. It started to get worse and worry me, so I took Wyatt in to see Dr. Torn. Turns out little man has eczema :(. We had to start a whole long skin care routine to keep his poor dry skin from getting worse. Hopefully it is something that he grows out of, but for now we are putting lots of cream and ointments on 4-6 times a day! One positive from the trip was getting to weigh our little guy! He is getting so big, but it still super long and skinny, just like his daddy!
Weight: 13 lbs 6 ounces
Wyatt has really put himself on a great little schedule. Because we are still breastfeeding, so he doesn't go longer than about 3 1/2 hours between feeding during the day, but he sleeps for a solid 7 hour stretch every night!
Every day I get to spend at home with him is the biggest blessing in the whole world. I am SOOOOO in love with him. I truly didn't know my heart could grow this much!

Girls Night!
My sweet friend Katie has an all girls Christmas party every year. I wasn't able to go the past few years, so this year I made a point to make it! Kevin agreed to watch Wyatt all by himself for the night so that I could enjoy a stress free night away. I am SO lucky to have a husband who is such an amazing hands on Dad! I truly do not know what I would do with out him! I had so much fun on my night out in Dallas, but I also couldn't wait to get back to my guys on Sunday.
Big thanks to Mimi and Bubba who helped out over the weekend, and to Gigi and Grandpa who watched Wyatt on Saturday night so that the Saxe bunch could go the Celebration at our Church. I owe you all big time for letting me have a stress free girls night with some of my very best friends!

Shower Time
My beautiful sweet friend Lexie is getting married in January, and before the big day we wanted to pamper her with a shower! My mom and I, along with several of my high school friends, hosted a shower for her at my moms house. It was such an awesome day! Lexie looked beautiful as always, and it was so much fun for all of us to catch up! My oldest friend Laura was even able to make it down from Oklahoma. She hadn't met Wyatt until the shower, and I loved getting to see the two of them together!
My wonderful sister-in-law, Ally with Little Bears Designs, designed the awesome invitations!
Flowers by Wedding Flower by Lisa. The tequila and vodka bars were a huge hit!

Lexie cutting the beautiful cake.
So thankful for wonderful friends! Laura, Jennifer, Chelsea, Emily, myself, and Lexie have been friends since elementary school. It means so much that we are all so close and have grown together instead of apart!
Wyatt has plenty of lovin while at the shower. The ladies just couldn't get enough of him!

A Little Place Called Aspen...
My mother, the queen of spontaneity, invited Wyatt and me to a last minute trip to Aspen. When I say last minute, I mean we booked our flights Saturday and left Tuesday! With only two days to pack, it was quit hectic, but oh so worth it. I just LOVE Colorado. I love the mountains, the snow, getting all bundled up, and just being able to get away from the humidity! Wyatt was so so wonderful! He slept during all four flights, and stayed on his schedule the entire time. By the end of the trip, it seemed like every local in Aspen knew Wyatt! We got stopped during almost every walk in town by people who wanted to see my little man. It was the perfect get away, and I am so thankful for my mom and Marvin for making it happen! As nice as it was to go, I was definitely missing Kevin and ready to get home at the end of our little get away! Here are a few pictures from our perfect get away.

Maternity Pics
My beautiful, talented, and amazing cousin, Haley, has out done herself yet again! She took my maternity pictures of me at our family ranch about 3 weeks before Wyatt was born, and I just had to share. As fat and ugly as I felt at the time, I am so so happy she talked me into taking these. I will treasure them forever!

Thanksgiving
Kevin and I have SO much to be thankful for this year! God gave us the most perfect gift in our little guy. Wyatt has brought so much joy and happiness to us and our families. Our hearts are overwhelmed by how much we have been blessed. I am also thankful for a healthy pregnancy this year. Although I was sick for quit a bit of it, it was perfectly uneventful :). I want to give special thanks for our marriage. It has been a perfect two years, and I can't wait to see what God has in store for us. Thank you to our wonderful family, who are there for us constantly. We are SO BLESSED!
The weekend before Thanksgiving, we headed down to the ranch to celebrate early with my side of the family. Since Patricks team was still in play offs, my parents weren't there, but we had a blast with Haley, Brandon, Bubba, Uncle Herb, and Aunt Mary.
I will probably forever feel guilty about this, but my first night away from Wyatt happened to be his first Thanksgiving. Kevin and I had made plans to go to the TCU vs UT game on Thanksgiving day, and little man just wasnt big enough yet to make the trip. Gigi spent the night with us on Wednesday night so that we could get up early on Thursday and head to Austin. I felt so bad for leaving them, but Kevin and I had a blast at the game, and enjoyed some us time. Wyatt was very well taken care of, and got to spend time with my whole side of the family!
We left Austin early Friday morning to get back to our little guy, and to celebrate Thanksgiving a day late with the Saxe bunch!
