Parent Commitment Ceremony
Since Kevin and I decided to raise our family in a Baptist church, and they do not recognize infant baptism, Wyatt will not be baptized until he makes the decision to do so as a believer! While at first this was a little hard for me, since I was raised Presbyterian which does do infant baptism, I now see the beauty in waiting until Wyatt can tell me himself that he accepts Jesus as his Lord and Savior and wants to be baptized. I truly can not wait for that day, and I pray that God gives me the strength and wisdom to guide Wyatt as he grows in his faith. With that said, our church does do a Parent Commitment Ceremony, were we stand in front of our friends and family and promise to raise Wyatt in the church and guide him in his faith. It was such an amazing and beautiful day, and a memory I will treasure. We are so blessed to have so much family around to support us and love on our little man. Here are a few pictures of our great night together.

5 Months
Where has 5 months gone! I will probably start every post this way, and I know it is clique, but I truly feel like time is going by in warp speed. Wyatt's little personality shines through more and more every day. He is such a happy, funny little guy. He is constantly on the move, and can already not sit still. I am in trouble once he starts crawling! He is doing great sitting up on his own, but hates that he can not get to a sitting position on his own. If you lay him on his back he tries so hard to sit up, and ends up looking like he is doing crunches the whole time! Its pretty dang cute though!
At his last doctors appointment, Dr. Torn told us it was time to start solids. I was a little apprehensive about it, but decided last week to give cereal a try. Try is all we did. To say Wyatt does not like solids would be an understatement. We have only tried rice cereal, bananas, avocado, and carrots so far, but none of them have been a hit. He looks like he is in pain when I put the food in his mouth and proceeds to try and spit it out everywhere. We will just have to take this solids thing slow and hopefully we will find something he likes! I think this face says it all...
He is liking his sippy cup though! He is working on drinking a little water every day!
Sleep wise, our little man is doing great! He is still waking up every other night or so for a middle of the night feeding, but hopefully that stops once he is eating more solids. He is a great napper, and does a great job of putting himself to sleep. I put him down awake with his blanket and he rolls over and talks to himself until he is a sleep!! I feel BEYOND blessed that he is so easy and happy! Here is a peak at how much our little man has grown over the past 5 months!

January
I am truly trying to get better at this whole blog thing, but I am struggling to keep up! Life has been so busy, and full of so much fun lately that I haven't had a chance to sit down and write about it! January was full of so many fun outings, so I decided to sit down and write a about all of them at once! To start the month, Kevin and I took a trip to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl. We had a blast with our friends Katie and Cody, and Kortnee was beyond sweet to come watch Wyatt for us while we went to the game! We even got to see Reveille while we were there!
Next, Wyatt and I took a trip to Longview for a girls weekend with my mom and several of her life long friends. Haley and Jack also met us there. It was so relaxing and we had a blast just catching up with everyone.

This little boy sure does have a whole lot of people who love him to pieces! We had a blast seeing everyone, and I cant wait for our next getaway!
The following Thursday was Wyatt's first day of MDO. I was hesitant to enroll him, but it is nice to have a few hours every week on my own. It allows me to do all the errands that are hard to do with him, and I plan my whole week around those few hours! After his first day we went to the park with Mimi, Micah and Laurel to celebrate!

The following weekend was Lexie and Casey's wedding! Lexie was an absolutely stunning bride, and everything about the wedding was amazing. It was so fun to catch up with all of my friends and celebrate together. We spent the night eating amazing food, dancing , and giggling!
Next, we were off to San Antonio to help Haley get ready for baby Caroline. To say I am excited for this little angel to get here would be a complete understatement. I can not wait to snuggle and spoil her rotten! We had so much fun helping Haley and Brandon set everything up. I can not wait to head back in April to do all of the finishing touches! Baby Caroline's room is going to be the cutest thing around!
Here are just a few of my favorite pictures of my little man from the month. If we don't slow down I am going to wake up and have a one year old!
