That did NOT just happen…

Have I said lately how much my husband spoils me? Well if I haven’t, then its time for me to praise him! He works so so hard and provides such an amazing life for us. I feel like the luckiest lady in the whole world to get to stay home with my little man, and that is all thanks to him. To add to that, recently he bought me a brand new car! I cannot tell you how excited this made me! I immediately bought a package to Bubbles Car Wash so that I could get my car washed once a week to keep it extra new looking, I bought special car seat covers to protect the seats for Wyatt’s car seat, and even made Kevin buy the extra car protection plan so that I could get any little spill fixed! Excited is honestly an understatement. When we got home with our new car, I decided that my cars home aka our garage needed to be pretty, clean and shiny to match the pretty clean new car that will be living there. I cleaned out EVERYTHING. This included old paint that the previous owners left. I thought that whatever was put into the trash can would be taken away forever and I would be left with only the cleanest neatest garage on the block…I was wrong. Turns out garbage men do not take paint, so come trash day they took those cans of paint out of the trash and set the right in front of the trash can…directly in the path that I have to pull my car into the garage. If you have never been to our house , our garage is actually behind our house, so you pull into the driveway and then take a right into the garage. It’s a sharp turn, and visibility is poor. So on this trash day, Wyatt and I head home after a nice lunch with friends. I pull into my drive way like normal, open the garage and proceed to pull in as normal. As my car makes its way into the garage I all of the sudden I hear a loud pop, then everything in my field of vision turns white! Panicked I jump out of the car and realize I have run over a can of paint! Not only is my car COVERED, but the entire garage is splatter painted as well…I mean it is everywhere. What happened next was not pretty. I PANIC! Luckily Kevin was home. I run Wyatt inside give him to Kevin and immediately head outside with a bottle of dawn dish soap and start drenching my car in it. The stress of this situation definitely did not look pretty on me. I was short and mean to Kevin, who poor thing was just trying to help me. I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Luckily for all involved, the paint came off of my car. The garage, on the other hand, as well as its contents did not get by so unscathed. There is now a lovely layer of off while paint on anything that was in range on that fateful day. So my message to all, do not put paint in the trash can!
This is the aftermath of the garage. No picture was taken of the car...to much panic for that!
